As we always do with our custom-designed cassettes - we've gone with the best durability/lightweight combination ever - we machined 11 cogs out of a hardened steel alloy and attached lightweight CNC machined 52T cog made out of 7075T aluminum alloy.

Recommended drivetrain setups
We recommend using our 12-speed Shimano-compatible cassette with 1x12-speed SLX, XT, and XTR drivetrains (the Long Cage (SGS) version is required to work with our 11-52T cassette). However, if you would like to use it with an SRAM 12-speed rear derailleur, such a setup will also work well. Our 12-speed cassette is compatible with the Shimano HG+ 12-speed chain.

Our cassette was initially designed to work seamlessly when mounted on Shimano MTB freehubs. However, for those who want to install a Garbaruk Shimano-compatible 12-speed cassette onto a Road freehub, we offer a Garbaruk Cassette Spacer that helps secure the cassette in place on wider Road freehubs.
