The REVOLOOP.fat was developed by us as a lightweight tube for fat bikes with jacket widths from 3.8 to 5 inches. With a weight of only about 160 grams in the 26-inch version, it reduces the moving, rotating mass on the wheel by about 250 grams per wheel compared to conventional butyl tubes, making the bike more agile. At the same time, it outperforms standard tubes with increased flank stability and brings you safely through demanding curves. Despite its lightweight, this tube has a high puncture and snakebit resistance. This ensures puncture resistance and safety on the trail. The material formulation specially developed for this tube combines very high mechanical strength with simultaneous elasticity of the material and thus enables the innovative, specific property profile of this bicycle tube.


The valve is made of particularly impact- and break-resistant thermoplastic material and is ahead of its time. Minimum weight coupled with maximum performance.  A specially designed valve foot prevents damage to the hose due to sharp edges on the valve bore. The tough plastic minimizes valve breakage during the toughest trails with low air pressure. 

IMPORTANT: Please never fill your REVOLOOP hose outside of the jacket with pressure above 0.5 bar. Otherwise, there is a risk that the REVOLOOPs will locally overstretch or even burst. Both scenarios lead to the fact that the hose is subsequently unusable because the overstretching of the hose does not deform back and the hose can therefore no longer be fitted. Therefore: REVOLOOP hoses only apply a pressure of more than 0.5 bar when they are fully assembled.

REVOLOOP.fat: Please do not inflate the REVOLOOP.fat in a circular manner outside the jacket, as this can also lead to overstretching. In addition, the REVOLOOP.fat should not be "pumped up" above 0.2 bar outside the jacket.

Revoloop.fat 26 " Tubes

Have been riding tubeless for the longest time, however when running my tires low PSI for fresh snow conditions, I would experience a loss of air and sealant, so I decided to try the Revoloops.
After putting them on Immediately noticed a handling improvement as the front end didn't feel like it was auto steering like before when running low psi. For the back tire I noticed that I needed to run PSI 1-2 PSI higher to get rid of the bounce when pedaling and even though the tire felt stiffer, I didn't feel that it sacrificed any traction. Overall its been very reliable, with no issues to report what's so ever, so I am very please with this product !

Fantastic, but...

I purchased a set of three Revoloop.fat tubes in 26" for riding last winter in snow only. The Revoloops were very similar in weight (sealant in a fat tire vs. Revo) to a tubeless setup and I ran them as low as 2.5 psi with similar results (great traction, very slow). At 4.5 to 7 psi the tubes were much better and the added stiffness in the sidewalls was very evident, handling through corners was much better and the front end didn't feel like it was folding/pushing. An added bonus is the ability to quickly change tires to adapt to different needs or conditions without the mess of a tubeless tire change. I've now had two of the three tubes fail, one with a mystery leak that deflates overnight and the other with a split on the stem. The tubes definitely need an upgrade to the stem to hold it in place on the rim like other Presta valves, they slip under torque from braking and pedling and they are very difficult to air up with a non-locking pump head. The slippage can lead to pressure on the stem and failure like I experienced. Like others, the mystery leak is frustrating as these tubes are expensive (worth it if they would be less prone to failure). I'm reluctant to buy another, even though I really love the way they ride. If the issues are resolved, I'll be at the till to buy new ones but for now it's back to weighty and trusty rubber.

Thank you for your review. You have pointed out a few of the advantages of using REVOLOOP REVOFAT tubes for your fat bike. We have been working with REVOLOOP regarding the micro pinholes that surface from time to time due to the properties of the TPU material. The other companies are experiencing similar issues. REVOLOOP has come up with a solution for this by switching to a custom 7 layer material which they have designed to rectify the issue. We will not see the new gen 2 fat tubes until summer 2023. In the mean time the REVO repair kits work awesome in patching up the micro hole. The way to find hole is to inflate the tube outside of the tire to a firm feel. place it under warm water and squeeze the tube to increase pressure. You will see a small bubble form where the pin hole is. Once you find it, you use the alcohol wipe and then stick on the patch while the tube is inflated. The patches are permanent and will last the life of the tube.

The tube that had the seam fail, we will replace no charge.

The stem is designed to float and not be locked down like Butyl tubes. Every TPU material manufacturer are the same way. Fat bikes create the issue described as the tire contact patch creates so much traction, at low pressure below 6 psi the tire can creep forward on the rim causing he stem to lean backwards. The solution for this is when you are inflating the tire, take a little latex sealant and apply it to the bead of the tire. Then inflate up to 20 psi to get the tire to seat. This 'glues' the tire to the rim and eliminates the tire creep at low pressure.

Wanted so much to like these, but I give up.

I ordered a pair of these in January to run in my rear wheel. The first one lasted 3 rides, then would loose air for no detectable reason. Ottalus was really great and replaced both on warranty, so I put in a second and it lasted for the duration of the winter and all through storage this summer. I added air this fall, and the tube failed, even though I could not locate any obvious leaks. So onto tube #3; installed it, left it in my basement, and a few days later, it's flat. Brand new tube, never ridden. I have one more from my original order in January that I will put in to try, but honestly, they just aren't trustworthy and I can't justify the cost to buy anymore with this track record. I commend Ottalus for their service - they phoned me when I placed my initial review and went above and beyond, but this product is just not reliable enough to recommend. I'm so bummed, as I loved the idea of a 160g tube that would allow me to easily swap tires throughout the season, but they need to rework their formula or something and make them live up to the "long lasting" promise they make on the box. I picked up a set of regular ol' tubes today and will settle for the extra weight if it means they will last.

REVOLOOP has been having some issues with micro pinholes which surface periodically in production runs. I have had a few conversations with REVOLOOP owners and they have come up with a solution to the issue. They are currently producing stock on a 7 layer tube which will look, feel, and perform the same as current product. The idea behind the 7 layers is if the material
Has a micro pinhole in 1 layer it will not effect the performance as it will not be able to pass through the other 6 layers. This solution has not been cheap for REVOLOOP as the tooling to make this change is $$$$$$ per tube size. Fat bike will be that last one to switch over as we sell more fat tubes in Canada than they sell globally combined. It will be great to have a top performing tube again and to be confident selling them to retailers. Thank you for your patience with these you have been great to deal with. If you were local I would have been able to troubleshoot and offer a solution. Watch for updates on the new product offering in January and hopefully fat tubes in summer 2023.
